SugarBind was developed at the MITRE Corporation. In 2010, the unmodified content of SugarBind was transcribed from MITRE. Since then, the SugarBind project spreads through collaboration of SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics with Elaine Mullen at the MITRE Corporation. The project is advised by Prof. Nicolle Packer of the Biomolecular Frontiers Research Centre at Macquarie University in Sydney in Australia. SugarBind is part of the GlyConnect integrated platform .
