SNP2APA is designed to explore the effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on alternative polyadenylation (APA). APA is an important post transcriptional regulatory mechanism that recognizes different polyadenylation signals (PAS) on transcripts, resulting in transcripts with different lengths of 3 untranslated regions, thereby influencing a series of biological processes. Recent studies have revealed that some SNPs could cause APA dysfunction, and thus participate in the development of disease. However, the associations between SNPs and APA remain largely unknown.
