GermOnline is a subject oriented cross-species community annotation knowledgebase that provides access to microarray expression data from experiments relevant for the mitotic and meiotic cell cycle as well as gametogenesis in yeast and higher eukaryotes. Moreover, GermOnline integrates knowledge about genes important for meiosis, gametogenesis and fertility that is provided and updated by members of the scientific community in collaboration with professional curators.
